Use the "dash" action regularly when dribbling upfield to get
by defenders. This will kick the ball ahead a short distance
and allow your player to run much faster (just as in real life).
Although the game can be played with a two-button joystick or
four-button gamepad, neither is able to perform many critical
actions that an eight-button controller offers. Sega recommends
the Microsoft SideWinder for optimum gameplay.
For some levity, load up the game with one of the alternate
languages for the announcer commentary. Listening to excitable
German play-by-play when you don't speak a word of the language
can really break the ice.
